Welcome to the official website of the North Carolina Newton Flames Elite basketball program.

The Newton Flames Elite program started in the year 1990.  We compete in AAU and YBOA competition in the State and at a National level.  The program operated several girl’s teams and one guy’s team during the years of 1990 to 2005.  After a 2 year break, the Newton Flames Elite Program returned in 2009!!  We currently have one girl’s team in the 12 and under age division in 2010. 

The Newton Flames Elite does not believe in try outs.  Instead of holding try outs we recruit each individual player for the team(s).  We look for athletes that have the competitive spirit and fire in their eye to win and the desire to succeed both on and off the court.  This program is targeted toward athletes that want to compete at a higher level of competition and may want the option to continue their basketball career through college.
